Jay Hatfield Chevrolet is seeking an Experienced Service Technician to join our growing team. The right candidate will have a strong automotive background and own tools to diagnose and perform repairs on various vehicle systems.

Responsibilities include repairing orders, test-driving vehicles, diagnosing components, and communicating with the Service Advisor about additional work and time estimates. We offer a wide range of benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive background
• Must have your own tools
• Heavy line mechanic with knowledge of engines and transmissions
• Must have valid driver's license
• Willing to submit to a drug screen (THC is not tested for pre-employment)

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Prepare to get additional certification as needed
• Willingness to learn with hands-on training
• Help keep repair shop clean and organized
• Keep a professional appearance
