Job summary

Jay Hatfield CDJR Ponca City is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our growing team. The right candidate will diagnose and repair according to repair orders, perform tests on systems, and communicate with the Service Advisor.

You will work in a fast-paced, customer-focused shop with opportunities for advancement, paid training, and a benefits package including medical, dental, 401K and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• Specific Automotive Certifications are ideal.
• Strong automotive background required.
• Strong work history expected.
• Heavy line mechanic with knowledge of engines and transmissions.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Willing to submit to a drug screen (THC not tested pre-employment).

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components and systems using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional needed repairs and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under manufacturer specifications; pursue additional certifications as needed.
• Keep the shop clean and organized and present a professional appearance.

Responsibilities:

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Prepare to get additional certification as needed.
• Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
• Help keep repair shop clean and organized.
• Keep a professional appearance
