Job summary

Coma Coffee Roasters is seeking a skilled automotive technician to join our service team in Albany, NY. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose complex issues, and ensure every vehicle runs safely and smoothly.

You will work hands-on in a fast-paced environment, using diagnostic tools and modern repair techniques to deliver high-quality service and clear, thorough reports. A valid driver’s license is required and there are opportunities for growth within a stable company.

Qualifications

• Experience as an automotive technician or mechanic (certifications preferred but not required).
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle issues.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with modern vehicle technology, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and repair brake, steering, and suspension systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Troubleshoot and fix electrical and electronic issues, including wiring, lighting, and onboard computer systems.
• Repair or replace transmissions, fuel components, and engine cooling systems as needed.
• Conduct emissions inspections, safety checks, and other state‑mandated vehicle examinations.
• Maintain and repair air conditioning systems, radiators, and other cooling components.
• Ensure all work is documented accurately with clear, legible reports.
• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Perform test drives when necessary (valid driver’s license required).
• Follow a standardized task checklist to maintain consistency and quality in service.
