Job summary

JM Family Enterprises, Inc. seeks an Automotive Training Specialist to deliver factory technical training to Toyota dealership technicians and to provide consultative support to dealer leadership for technician growth and retention.

The role involves classroom, virtual, and shop instruction, plus developing training materials and programs. Based in Jacksonville, FL, the candidate will build relationships with dealer associates, manage training for multiple dealers, and coordinate recruitment

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of automotive technical experience in a dealership or manufacturer.
• Multiple ASE certifications; Master and/or Advanced Drivability Specialist preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willing to relocate within the region (FL/GA/AL/NC/SC).
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive/Technical fields is a plus, not required.
• Strong time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver factory technical training to Toyota dealership technicians and provide consultative services to dealer leadership on growth and retention of technicians.
• Prepare and deliver technical instruction in classroom, virtual, and shop environments.
• Develop training materials and courses; manage training for assigned dealers.
• Build relationships with Toyota dealer associates and coordinate with education institutions to recruit students.
• Travel overnight 4–8 nights per month to support regional training needs.

The Automotive Technical Training Specialist , based in Jacksonville, FL , at Southeast Toyota Distributors is responsible for delivering factory technical training to Toyota dealership technicians, as well as providing consultative services to Toyota dealer leadership to support the growth and retention of technicians.Responsibilities:Delivering factory technical training to Toyota dealership technicians and offering consultative services to Toyota dealer leadership on the growth and retention of technicians.Prepare and provide technical instruction in both classroom, virtual and shop environmentsResponsible for training materials and course developmentBuild and foster relationships with Toyota dealer associatesManage technical training for assigned dealers, to ensure technicians have all necessary training and certification requirements as outlined by ToyotaWork with Toyota dealerships along with local and state automotive education institutions to recruit and retain new studentsInteract and collaborate with Fixed operation leadership and training teamOvernight travel required - Minimum four to eight nights per monthQualifications:Minimum of 4-6 years of Automotive technical experience with a dealership or manufacturerMultiple A1-A8 Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications.
