Job summary

Hoehn Master in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a skilled automotive technician who can diagnose and repair vehicles to dealership and factory standards. You will perform diagnoses, repairs, and road tests, while documenting work and communicating with customers and parts staff.

The role requires Jaguar Land Rover Level 2 Certification, ongoing training, and familiarity with dealership management and diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

A Technician must be able to diagnose vehicle issues and carry out maintenance and repairs as prescribed by the manufacturer’s repair instructions.

Responsibilities

Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
Properly documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
Road tests vehicles when required.
Participates in manufacturer and dealer training programs, achieving certification levels as directed by management
Communicates with customers when requested.
Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
