Gilder Search Group is seeking an experienced A-Level or B-Level Automotive Technician in DeKalb, Illinois. Join a busy, family-owned repair shop with strong diagnostic and repair skills and a professional, team-oriented environment.

This Monday-Friday position offers $30-$40/hour plus commission, with earnings potential up to $100,000+ annually, comprehensive benefits, training, and steady workflow.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity.
• Experience performing Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs).
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 100 pounds.
• Strong communication skills.
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform brake, tire, and wheel alignment services.
• Diagnose and repair drivetrain and drivability concerns.
• Perform engine repairs and routine maintenance.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) on every vehicle.
• Communicate repair findings clearly with service advisors and team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Deliver high-quality repairs while maintaining productivity.
