AutoShop Recruiting is partnering with a high-performing independent repair shop in the Bartlett, IL area that is looking to add a diagnostic-minded automotive technician to the team.

This shop is not looking for a parts changer. The need is for someone who can consistently figure out what is wrong with the vehicle, communicate clearly with the team, and help the shop keep work moving correctly.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose vehicles consistently, not just replace parts.
• Strong work ethic, ownership, and team-first mentality.
• Comfortable working in a structured independent shop with shared accountability.
• Valid driver's license.
• ASE certifications are a plus, but real diagnostic ability matters more than paper credentials.
• Initial base/hourly/salary ramp-in period while the shop evaluates fit and contribution.
• Long-term company gross-profit sharing plan.

• Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends.
• Strong earning potential in a proven high-revenue shop.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose drivability, electrical, mechanical, and vehicle-performance concerns.
