Job summary

Magnа Electronics is seeking a Systems and Software Quality Engineer to act as a proactive quality partner for automotive electronics programs. You will define and execute the Engineering Quality strategy, maintain the Quality Management Plan, and drive reviews, audits, and corrective actions to ensure compliant, high-quality products across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering; master’s degree preferred.
5+ years in engineering quality, systems/software quality, automotive product development, or related roles.
Experience evaluating work products, traceability, verification evidence, and program-level quality risks.
Experience with audits, assessments, reviews, corrective actions, and quality reporting.
Experience with structured problem solving (8D, 5-Why, etc.).

Responsibilities

Define and drive the Engineering Quality strategy for assigned programs with alignment to customer and regulatory goals.
Maintain the Engineering Quality Management Plan for governance across the product lifecycle.
Lead quality planning: reviews, process compliance assessments, audits, gate readiness, and executive reporting.
Proactively assess work product quality and process compliance to close gaps and mitigate risks.
Evaluate requirements quality and end-to-end traceability with complete verification evidence.
Monitor defect trends and drive corrective actions to closure; escalate risks.
Coach teams to define and meet Definition of Done and DoD criteria for E-Gate deliverables.
Lead readiness assessments and provide objective evidence for go/no-go decisions on major releases.
Monitor supplier quality and mitigate adverse trends with supplier management partners.
Drive continuous improvement and share best practices with process owners.
Prepare teams for ASPICE assessments and ensure evidence completeness.
