Job summary

Adient in Northwood, Ohio seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to uphold IATF 16949 standards and ensure automotive product quality. The role includes tracking PMRs and PPAP processes, coordinating with Materials and Production to implement changes, and leading containment for defects to meet customer requirements.

You will validate supplier PPAP submissions, monitor key quality deliverables, and train Quality Technicians while adhering to safety and corporate standards.

Qualifications

• Requires engineering degree or equivalent quality-related experience.
• ASQ CQI/CQM/CQT certification is preferred.
• Three to five years in automotive QA with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant quality documentation and records to ensure IATF 16949 compliance.
• Track SMRR, RMA, PPM, and SCB revisions using IRIS.
• Validate PPAP submissions and coordinate with Materials and Production teams for changes.
• Lead investigation and containment of defects and respond to supplier/customer concerns.
• Review daily production reports and ensure control plans and PFMEA updates.
• Support training of Quality Technicians and lead troubleshoot to prevent delivery interruptions.
• Ensure safety procedures and reports on HSE events.
• Stop production if quality or safety issues arise.
• Review customer specific requirements.
