Job summary

Adient is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Northwood to maintain plant engineering documentation and ensure products meet IATF 16949 standards and customer specifications. This role requires coordinating PPAP submissions, engineering changes, and supplier performance through SPC and control plans.

Candidate should have 3–5 years in automotive quality, familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001, and ASQ certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in Quality Assurance with emphasis on supplying the automotive industry.
• Familiar with IATF 16949 & ISO 9001, BOS Standards.
• ASQ certifications (CQM/CQE/CQT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an up-to-date reference to track SMRR, RMA, PPM, & SCB and other proposed product revisions.
• Validate PPAP submissions and interact with vendors to complete their PPAP submissions.
• Coordinate containment of defects and ensure effective implementation of engineering changes.
• Champion and monitor supplier deliverables per control plan and ensure safety and quality procedures are followed.
