Store Manager Responsibilities
- Manage business operations and store performance, including safety, efficiency, and profit/loss accountability.
- Promote customer satisfaction, retention, and growth of existing and new business.
- Oversee operations related to cost control, inventory management, environmental compliance, and safety.
- Provide strong leadership to cultivate a collaborative and productive work environment.
Ideal Candidate
We seek a seasoned manager with an entrepreneurial spirit who will be responsible for operations, financial performance, morale, and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate has:
- A college degree or coursework (preferred)
- At least three years of experience in the automotive repair industry
- Supervisory, management, or mentorship experience
- A background in continuous improvement and P&L management
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, motivate, evaluate, schedule, and coach employees.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, including listening and consulting with customers.
- Follow up with customers regarding services requested and estimated completion times.
- Oversee vehicle inspections, make recommendations, and source parts.
- Discuss pricing estimates and promote shop service specials.
- Lead and train the team, aligning with company vision, purpose, core values, and employee creed.
- Manage sales, accounting, and clerical functions from Service Advisors.
- Oversee technicians' inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of domestic, European, and Asian vehicles and light trucks.
- Maintain inventory counts and manage inventory losses.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and environmental compliance of the facility.
- Handle employee payroll, record keeping, and scheduling.
- Update and submit daily sales reports to corporate.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 2 years of store or service management experience.
- General automotive knowledge.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong POS and internet skills.
- Leadership and team-building abilities.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license.
