Briggs Auto Group in Manhattan, KS is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will manage daily financial operations, prepare journal entries, and support month-end close, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Automotive dealership experience and CDK DMS familiarity are a plus but not required; we will train a candidate with strong core accounting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least 2 years of general accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, formulas, pivot tables).
• Knowledge of dealership concepts and CDK DMS is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Maintain general ledger and post journal entries.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and reconcile inventory floor plans.
• Review and post vehicle sales logs, F&I deals, and trades in CDK DMS.
• Process supplier invoices, vendor payments, and rebates; resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end close and tax filings; assist with financial reporting.
