Job summary

Canonical is seeking a Solutions Architect for Automotive to help customers understand and embrace our open source platform for themselves and their customers.

This home-based role is worldwide, with travel up to 30% for customer meetings and events. You will engage in presales, coordinate with Cloud, Kubernetes, and embedded teams, and contribute to delivering Embedded Linux solutions for automotive applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Extensive Linux experience – Debian or Ubuntu preferred.
• Solid embedded Linux experience – Yocto or RTOS.
• Fluency in Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
• Professional written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain our technology.
• Coordinate with Canonical experts to deliver comprehensive automotive solutions.
• Participate in delivery of Embedded Linux projects, including demos and PoCs.
• Convey market requirements to stakeholders and help refine generic solutions.
• Be a customer advocate and trusted advisor to Canonical.
