Job summary

Randstad USA, based near Lenoir City, Tennessee, is seeking a SolidWorks Designer to create 3D models, assemblies and installations for production in an automotive manufacturing environment. The role requires strong SolidWorks skills and a Bachelor’s degree, with permanent status and standard hours from 8am to 4pm.

The position focuses on complete modeling in SolidWorks PDM, coordination with engineering and customers, and adapting designs to meet requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have three (3+) years of design experience.
• SolidWorks experience.
• Experience within an automotive or related manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D Models, Assemblies, and Installations of existing and new items required for production.
• Responsible for complete modeling and assembly in SolidWorks PDM in accordance with customer and engineering requirements.
• Author Engineering Change Orders as needed for release and modification of CAD and ERP data.
• Conduct Model and Design Reviews to ensure 3D design meets Sales and Engineering Requirements.
• Make modifications and/or integrate new improvements into new designs or existing designs to improve their performance.
