Job summary

Rydell Chevrolet in Waterloo, IA is seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Associate to join the Parts Department. This full-time, non-exempt role supports inventory reception, organization, and distribution to ensure smooth operations.

You will verify shipments, label and stock parts, and maintain records while adhering to safety procedures. A high school diploma and forklift familiarity are preferred; candidates with prior warehouse experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming parts shipments.
• Verify shipment accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
• Label, stock, and organize inventory in designated locations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform daily, weekly, and scheduled cycle counts of parts and other automotive goods and investigate discrepancies as necessary.
• Prepare outgoing shipments and transfers.
• Keep warehouse and storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist Parts Department personnel with inventory needs.
• Follow company safety procedures and operational standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You'll Own

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Forklift experience or certification preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to lift and move parts and materials as required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
