Job summary

Staff Management | SMX in New Albany, IN is seeking Shipping Team Members for a premier Tier 1 automotive supplier. The role is temp-to-hire, full-time, with a pay rate of $20.00–$21.00 per hour and a climate-controlled, modern environment.

Shifts include 1st and 3rd, with benefits such as medical/dental, sign-on and referral bonuses, and paid training. Duties include tugger operation, container transport, scanning, packing, and validating orders in a safe, fast-paced warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Background check and drug test may be required.

Responsibilities

• General tugger operation and maintenance, including battery changes.
• Transport containers, skids, and pallets to production and staging areas.
• Pull containers and transport on trains and rollers.
• Scan orders, verify loads, and apply labels.
• Pack parts, stack skids, and prepare shipments for wrapping.
• Use scanners to verify each skid and order accuracy.
• Stage materials by order number and route for processing.
• Unload, sort, and stock totes and pallets as required.
