Job summary

China Lake Golf Course on base in San Diego seeks a versatile team member to support an Automotive Skills Center. The role includes front-desk customer service, information provision, and supervising daily car wash operations to ensure safe, efficient service for MWR customers.

Responsibilities cover operating specialty equipment (spring/strut compressors, brake lathe, tire services, rotors/drums), maintaining inventory, processing rental tools, reporting damages, collecting fees, and promoting

Responsibilities

Provides customer service, information, and support of Automotive Skills Center.
Responsible for the car wash daily operations and maintenance.
Service to MWR customers includes but is not limited to operating spring and strut compressor machine, brake lathe, tire and wheels, balancing tires, and brake rotors/brake drums.
Responsible for safety observation of customers.
Assists in guiding customers on and off of vehicle lifts.
Conducts inventory, maintains inventory controls and maintains equipment for proper accountability of program equipment and resources.
Ensures all rental tools are checked out and returned.
Notifies supervisor or program lead if damage or loss has occurred.
Collects any applicable fees.
Seeks ways to promote MWR facilities and events through outreach opportunities on base.
Performs other duties as assigned as they pertains to the duties of this position.
