Job summary

Aims Community College seeks a full-time 9-month Automotive Faculty member to teach in-person and online courses. The role emphasizes student engagement, curriculum development, and ongoing assessment to ensure high-quality instruction across the automotive program.

The faculty member will also advise students, contribute to program development, and participate in college service and recruitment efforts to advance the department's goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in automotive service technology or related field.
• Two years of automotive work experience and eligibility for teaching credential.
• Current ASE certifications and Ford Master Technician Certification or ability to obtain within first year.

Responsibilities

• Teach Automotive courses in-person and online with a focus on student learning.
• Develop and assess course syllabi, outcomes, and assessments.
• Maintain classroom and lab facilities and manage attendance and grades.
• Engage in department curriculum development and program assessment.
• Provide advising to students pursuing degrees and certificates.
• Participate in college service, recruitment, and retention activities.
