Job summary

Aims Community College seeks a faculty member to teach Automotive Collision Technology courses at the Windsor campus and other locations. Primary duties include delivering assignments and maintaining high instructional standards across day and evening classes.

Minimum qualifications require an Associate degree in Automotive Service Technology with extensive ASE certifications and years of relevant experience; Ford Master Technician Certification or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Automotive Service Technology or related area plus 4,000 hours of relevant work experience, or a current industry license with 6,000 hours.
  • Ford Master Technician Certification or ability to obtain prior to first day of classes.
  • ASE certifications in A1-A8 and G1; L1 required within first year.
  • Must hold or qualify for a post-secondary vocational credential in Automotive per Aims Community College CTE Office.
  • Commitment to high work standards, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of PCs and automotive service systems; ability to use related equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple students in stacked class blocks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Automotive Collision Technology courses as assigned.
  • Teach day and/or evening classes at Windsor campus and other locations as needed.
