Job summary

Pep Boys, now part of the Mavis Tire family, is expanding its Prattville, AL operation. We seek experienced Automotive Mechanics to inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles at our service centers, with abundant career growth opportunities and a supportive team environment.

You will perform brake, suspension, tire, and general maintenance tasks while upholding quality and safety standards. Competitive weekly pay with incentives, benefits, and on-the-job training are provided.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Have at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Have the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs.

Responsibilities

• Performing undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering.
• Diagnosing vehicle maintenance and repair needs.
• Performing oil and filter changes and checking fluids.
• Replacing worn or damaged parts.
• Completing state inspections, where applicable.
• Mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
