Job summary

Blain’s Farm & Fleet is seeking an Automotive Technician for our Service Center in Decatur, IL. We provide a competitive benefits package and opportunities for training and career growth.

You’ll perform tire work, oil changes, brake repairs, battery installs, and other automotive tasks while delivering excellent customer service. Weekend availability and valid driver’s license required; prior auto repair or retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to work evenings and weekends.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
• Able to read and speak English.
• Able to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior auto repair experience is preferred.
• Prior retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Repair and install tires.
• Balance wheels.
• Install batteries, headlights and other basic automotive parts.
• Perform oil changes.
• Brake system repair.
• Other duties with progressive on-the-job training.
