Job summary

Delta World Tire Company in Picayune, MS is seeking a General Service Technician to perform oil changes, tire and wheel services, alignments and related tasks. You will train alongside ASE Certified Automotive Technicians, with the opportunity to advance toward ASE certification.

The position starts at $15–$18 per hour and includes benefits such as paid vacation, sick time, holidays, medical/dental/vision, and a 401(k) plan. Growth opportunities are available within the shop.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive experience preferred, but we will consider energetic and hard-working individuals with a passion for cars.
• Candidate must be highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work Monday - Saturday.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner obeying all traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections following all guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Notes vehicle condition and reports repairs or safety concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Documents vehicle condition using Multi-point Inspection and Repair Order.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop, tires, showroom, and exterior area.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
