Job summary

Delta World Tire in Gulfport, MS is seeking a General Service Technician to perform non-technical service repairs such as oil changes, tire and wheel related services, alignments, and more. Learn under ASE certified technicians and pursue ASE Automotive Technician certification.

This entry-level role offers hands-on training and a clear path toward advancement in a busy independent tire shop, with compensation and benefits described below.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive experience preferred; energetic individuals considered.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass pre-employment drug test, MVR, and background checks.
• Able to work Monday - Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, tires, supplies from vendors or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle safely and obeys all traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections following company/state guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balancing and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Notes any obvious repairs or safety concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager while performing basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop and showroom.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
