Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services and deliver an excellent customer experience in our tire and service department.

You will mount and balance tires, conduct oil changes, install batteries and lighting, and assist other technicians while maintaining a clean, safe, organized shop. Ongoing training ensures you stay current with automotive technology.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Passion for a career as an automotive technician.
• Eager to learn and driven to succeed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments, and electrical.
• Learn new technical information in training sessions to stay current.
• Perform oil changes, tire maintenance, and related services.
• Install batteries, headlights, wiper blades, and other minor parts.
• Stock tires and assist technicians while maintaining shop cleanliness.
• Follow safety, policy, and environmental rules.
