Job summary

LaFontaine Automotive Group in Troy, MI is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. This role supports technicians, trainees, and apprentices in a high-volume dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Michigan Mechanic Certification required.
• Infiniti brand experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR required.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance work per repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized.
• Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
• Tag and save parts; handle warranty or special requests as needed.
• Advise service advisor on additional work or changes to timing.
• Document all work performed and road-test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Attend training classes and stay current with factory bulletins.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and comply with safety policies.
