Job summary
LaFontaine Automotive Group in Michigan is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance to dealer and factory standards. This opportunity welcomes Technicians, Trainees and Apprentices with a tiered pay plan and longevity bonus, plus on-the-job training at the state's highest paying dealership.
You will handle repair orders, diagnose issues, and complete repairs per specifications.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Michigan mechanic certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to meet production and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Receive repair orders and take to stall area.
- Perform work as outlined on repair orders to dealer/factory standards.
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized.
- Coordinate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
- Tag and save parts; return under warranty if requested.
- Inform service advisor of additional work or delays.
- Document all work performed and test drive to verify customer issue resolved.
- Perform quality checks and attend training; stay current with factory bulletins.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean and follow safety/Homekeeping policies.
