Audi Columbia Service Technician / Mechanic

Audi Columbia, part of Jim Hudson Automotive Group, is seeking experienced Audi service technicians or mechanics with European or VW experience for a brand-new Audi dealership in Columbia, SC. This role offers advancement to Shop Foreman.

Key Details

• 60‑80 hours per week, 800 repair orders per month, 70% customer pay work, 5‑day work week, no Sundays, flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy according to dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform necessary repairs.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required; notify the service advisor immediately if additional work is not needed or required.
• Notify the service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
• Document all work performed.
• Road‑test vehicles when required or refer to a test technician.
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Ensure customers’ cars are kept clean.
• Keep the shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership‑owned tools at all times.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations regarding the disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures and report any accidents immediately.

Qualifications

• Experience with Audi, VW, or other European vehicles preferred.
• Certified technicians preferred; training available for the right candidates.
• Must be a team player.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
