Job summary

Paramus Chevrolet, a proud member of VIP Automotive Group, is seeking motivated and skilled Automotive Service Technicians and Mechanics to join our growing service department in Paramus, NJ.

We offer competitive hourly pay based on experience, a professional work environment, and opportunities to develop technical skills with an established dealership group. Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays; full-time, long-term career opportunity.

Qualifications

• Experience as an automotive technician at multiple levels is encouraged.
• Diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles per dealership/manufacturer standards.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, hand and power tools.
• Valid driver's license required.
• ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles according to dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Perform routine maintenance, oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, and other automotive repairs as qualified.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
• Perform engine, transmission, suspension, steering, and other vehicle system repairs based on experience.
• Use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and reference information to identify and resolve issues.
• Complete multi-point inspections and document recommended repairs.
• Communicate repair findings and additional service needs to the service advisor.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation.
• Follow manufacturer procedures, dealership standards, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized service bay.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs.
• Collaborate with service advisors, parts personnel, and technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
