Qualifications
- Previous experience as an automotive technician.
- ASE Certification preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of engine, transmission, electrical systems.
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Willing to learn new technology and repair procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform repair work as specified on the repair order.
- Test-drive vehicles and diagnose systems with diagnostic tools.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C.
- Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional services.
- Provide time estimates for additional repairs.
- Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
