Job summary

Johnson Volvo Cars Durham is seeking full-time Automotive Service Technicians at all levels to join our growing Service team in Durham, NC.

You will inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles, follow dealership standards, and use manufacturer information and diagnostic tools. We provide training and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Automotive maintenance and/or repair experience appropriate to the position.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle concerns appropriate to your experience level.
• Str ong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to accurately document work performed.
• Basic computer and electronic diagnostic proficiency.
• Dependable, self-motivated approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a Service team.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing technical and manufacturer training.
• A valid driver's license and driving record acceptable under company standards.
• ASE and manufacturer certifications are preferred but not required for all technician levels.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair customer and dealership vehicles according to repair orders and manufacturer procedures.
• Perform maintenance, diagnostic, and repair work accurately and efficiently.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns and perform necessary repairs.
• Inspect vehicles for additional maintenance, safety concerns, or recommended service.
• Communicate findings with Service Advisors regarding diagnostic findings and repair status.
• Work with Parts Department to identify and obtain necessary parts.
• Document inspections, repairs, services performed, and recommendations.
• Follow warranty procedures and properly handle warranty parts.
• Road-test vehicles as necessary to verify concerns and completed repairs.
