Johnson Volvo Cars Charlotte is hiring Automotive Service Technicians at multiple experience levels to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair customer and dealership vehicles. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to grow within the Johnson Automotive organization.

Qualifications

• Automotive maintenance and/or repair experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle concerns appropriate to experience level.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to accurately document work performed.
• Basic computer and electronic diagnostic proficiency.
• Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable under company standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostic, and repair work accurately and efficiently.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns and perform necessary repairs.
• Inspect vehicles for additional maintenance, safety concerns, or recommended service.
• Communicate with Service Advisors regarding diagnostic findings, additional work needed, and repair status.
• Work with the Parts Department to identify and obtain necessary parts.
• Properly document inspections, repairs, services performed, and recommendations.
• Follow manufacturer and dealership warranty procedures, including proper handling and tagging of warranty parts.
• Road-test vehicles as necessary to verify concerns and completed repairs.
• Use manufacturer technical information, service bulletins, diagnostic equipment, and other available resources.
• Participate in required manufacturer and dealership training.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Protect and properly care for customer and dealership vehicles.
• Follow all dealership safety procedures and applicable environmental and hazardous-material requirements.
