Job summary

Trust Irvine Acura in Irvine, CA is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure safety and optimal performance. You will work with service advisors, perform inspections, and complete repairs in line with manufacturer standards and dealership policies.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of automotive diagnostics and experience with suspension, brakes, and manual transmission, plus a valid CA driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Minimum 1 year of Automotive diagnostics working experience.
• Minimum 1 year of Diagnosis, Suspension, Brake Repair, and Manual Transmission work.
• Previous dealership or equivalent working experience (Preferred).
• Ability to multi-task in a demanding environment.
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Valid CA driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performing work specified on repair orders in accordance with dealership and certification policies.
• Communicating with service advisors to inform customers of possible additional work needed.
• Performing warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications and required certifications.
• Clarifies description of problems with service advisor; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records.
• Completes thorough inspection of all vehicles for safety concerns, repair and maintenance needs.
• Completes repairs by describing problems and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required or recommended; enters repair documentation into the repair order service database system.
• Maintains a current CA driver's license.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications and other customer service or sales related periodicals.
• Enhances organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
