Job summary

Asbury is seeking an Automotive Service Technician (B-Level) in Massachusetts. You will perform routine repairs, diagnose with assistance, and work on engines, transmissions, HVAC, steering and electrical systems.

A majority of the role involves manufacturer certifications and on-site service tasks. The position emphasizes completing inspections, documenting work, and maintaining high CSI while ensuring customer vehicles are returned clean and in good condition.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications heavily preferred.
• Manufacturer certifications heavily preferred.
• Previous automotive technician experience required.
• Must have basic tools.
• Must have great technical and mechanical skills.
• Must be a team player.
• Minimum of eighteen years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test).

Responsibilities

• Make accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Communicate with service advisor when additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Asbury standards.
• Conduct road tests to determine work needed and verify completion when necessary.
• Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles.
• Perform all levels of preventive/routine maintenance services.
• Complete warranty repair orders and file warranty claims.
• Report safety or integrity concerns to management.
• Return vehicles to customers clean and in good condition.
