Job summary

AutoNation is hiring a Skilled Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in line with dealer and factory standards, while building trust and loyalty with customers. The role involves regular communication with Parts and Service teams, diagnosing issues, and presenting safety recommendations.

A strong focus on accuracy and safety is required. Excellent training and OEM certification support accompany competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
• Valid in-state driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Attention to detail; organized with strong follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Communicating with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of malfunctions and performing repairs if authorized by the customer.
• Conducting multi-point inspections to recommend safety and reliability improvements.
• Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
