Job summary

Southern Buick GMC KIA Greenbrier in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair Buick/GMC/KIA vehicles in a fast-paced dealer environment. The role requires a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience.
Two years of dealer-level or large facility experience preferred.
ASE certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
Virginia State Inspection License (or willingness to obtain license).
Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing.
Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs.
Repairs automobiles and light trucks as assigned.
Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs.
Ensures that required documentation is complete and in compliance with regulations and standards.
Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs efficiently.
Attends all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required.
