Job summary

Wiscasset Ford is seeking a Ford-Certified Service Technician to join our growing service team. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure every vehicle leaving the shop meets quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience as an Automotive Service Technician (Ford experience highly preferred).
• Ford or ASE Certifications are a strong plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient with diagnostic systems, repair software, and service documentation.
• Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting ability.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with great communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job right the first time.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repairs and maintenance as outlined on repair orders, following dealership and manufacturer standards
• Use advanced diagnostic tools and testing equipment to troubleshoot and repair vehicles efficiently
• Test-drive and inspect systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC
• Communicate clearly with Service Advisors about repair needs, timelines, and recommendations for additional work
• Complete warranty repairs accurately and on time
• Maintain an organized, safe, and professional workspace
