Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Technician at Napleton Toyota of Urbana. You will perform vehicle repair and maintenance to dealership and factory standards, and help build trust with customers through quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service

Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned per repair orders
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication
• Diagnosing malfunctions and performing repairs
• Explaining diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical customers and staff
• Staying updated with factory bulletins and training
• Maintaining an organized work area

Located at Napleton Toyota of Urbana, theAutomotive Service Technicianwill be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
