As an Automotive Service Technician at Phil Long Toyota of Trinidad, you’ll diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle concerns with minimal supervision—helping customers stay safe and confident on the road.
Key responsibilities include completing repair orders to factory/dealership standards, pinpointing malfunctions and performing repairs, coordinating with Parts for correct components, tagging/saving parts when required, documenting all work and recommendations, road testing as needed, and mentoring apprentice techs when assigned. You’ll also stay current on technical bulletins and manufacturer training while maintaining a clean, safe, compliant shop environment.
Required qualifications:
Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage; 401(k); Life Insurance; Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options; Paid Time Off; Employee Discounts; and competitive flag-rate pay ($56,184–$84,276/year).
You’ll start by reviewing the day’s repair orders, then move between diagnostic time, hands‑on repair, and quick check-ins with advisors and Parts to keep work flowing. Throughout the day, you’ll note findings in the RO, stay alert for safety items worth flagging, and keep the vehicle protected and clean. When a road test is needed, you’ll confirm the concern is resolved before closing out. Between jobs, you’ll reference current bulletins, handle a short training module when scheduled, and help an apprentice get unstuck—then reset your stall so the next ticket starts smooth.
