Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repair: Perform electronic and mechanical diagnostics to identify issues and execute repairs.
• Routine Maintenance: Complete standard tasks per BMW factory specs (oil changes, brakes, alignments, fluids).
• Quality Assurance: Road-test vehicles to verify repairs meet safety and performance standards.
• Documentation: Keep clear records of work, parts used, and findings on repair orders.
• Ongoing Education: Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training and certification courses.

BMW of Traverse City is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our state‑of‑the‑art service department. In this role, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair some of the most advanced engineering on the road today.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

• Diagnostics & Repair: Perform accurate electronic and mechanical diagnostics to identify vehicle issues and execute high‑quality repairs.

• Routine Maintenance: Complete standard maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake services, alignments, and fluid flushes, according to BMW factory specifications.

• Quality Assurance: Road‑test vehicles to ensure all repairs are completed correctly and the vehicle meets safety and performance standards.

• Documentation: Keep clear, accurate records of all work performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings on repair orders.

• Ongoing Education: Participate in manufacturer‑sponsored training and certification courses to stay current on evolving automotive technology.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications):

• Previous experience as an automotive service technician (experience with BMW or European imports is highly valued, but not required).

• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.

• Possession of a personal toolset to perform standard automotive repairs.

• ASE certifications are preferred.

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
