Job summary

Garavel Subaru in Norwalk, CT seeks an experienced Auto Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain modern vehicles. You will use diagnostic tools, collaborate with the Service Advisor, and ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as an Automotive Technician.
• ASE certifications are ideal.
• Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in dealership protocols.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to evaluate systems.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers of needed additional work.
• Complete repairs under manufacturer specifications and provide quality workmanship.

Flexible Schedule Shifts:

Monday to Friday, rotating Saturdays; when you work on a Saturday, you have a day off during the week. We offer three different schedule shift options.

• 7 am - 4 pm

Essential Functions

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in dealership protocols.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so customers can be informed if additional service is needed.
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal
• Minimum of 2 years experience as an Automotive Technician
• Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Extraordinary customer service skills
• Fixing the job right the first time
• Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of an Auto Technician, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to frequently move in and out of vehicles frequently
• Required to test drive all vehicles
