Job summary

Don Wilhelm Inc. in Jamestown, ND, is seeking Experienced Automotive Service Technicians to join our GM dealership team. You will repair and maintain vehicles to factory standards, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekends.

Starting pay $70k–$120k DOE, sign-on bonus after 90 days, paid training and benefits including health/dental, 401k, and paid vacation. We offer growth opportunities and a stairstep commission program with no pay caps.

Qualifications

• Experienced automotive service technician required in a GM dealership setting.
• Must diagnose and repair vehicles to dealer and factory standards.
• Ability to run diagnostics with electronic equipment and use hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards.
• Maintain excellent customer service and relationships to drive referrals.
• Diagnose malfunctions, inspect vehicles, and perform road tests when required.
• Ensure repairs are completed accurately and quality-checked.

SUMMARY:

Performs vehicle repair and maintenance work in accordance with Dealership and factory standards

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Maintains excellent customer service and working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business and goodwill
• Performs work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy
• Diagnoses causes of malfunctions and performs repairs
• Inspects customer vehicles to determine additional safety or service work required or recommended
• Road-tests vehicles as required
• Uses electronic equipment proficiently to run diagnostics and perform repairs, while maintaining skill using traditional hand and power tools
• Quality-checks completed jobs, particularly comebacks, to assure that repairs are properly made
