Job summary

Wilkinson Cadillac ChevroletGMC is seeking an Automotive Technician to provide reliable preventive maintenance and perform diagnostic and repair work to keep vehicles safe on the road.

You will document repairs, perform oil changes, inspect fluids and tires, and collaborate with the service team to communicate with customers and complete repairs efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to learn new technology and repair procedures.
• Basic computer skills.
• Positive, friendly attitude with a customer service mentality.

Responsibilities

• Document and perform work as outlined on repair order following dealership and factory standards.
• Drain oil and replace oil and filters; inspect fluid levels and replenish as necessary.
• Check tire pressure and inflate as needed.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Keep shop area neat and clean and operate tools safely.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to verify repairs.
• Communicate with Service Advisor to inform customers of additional services.
• Provide time estimates for repairs and execute warranty work per manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Document and perform work as outlined on repair order following all dealership and factory standards
• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil; replace oil and air filters
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary
• Check tire pressure and add air if needed
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Keep shop area neat and clean
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
