Job summary

Szott Automotive Group is seeking experienced automotive technicians in Michigan to join busy, well-equipped shops with modern equipment and strong service support.

We offer competitive flat-rate pay based on experience and certifications, performance bonuses, and an Apprentice Program that rewards experienced technicians who mentor others. Stellantis product experience is highly valued, with opportunities for advancement within the Szott Automotive Group.

Qualifications

• Michigan Mechanic Certification/License or ASE certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a certified automotive technician
• Experience in a flat-rate compensation environment preferred
• Must be able to diagnose, repair, and document vehicle concerns
• Able to work with Service Advisors, Parts personnel, and other technicians

Responsibilities

• Keep bays productive and handle vehicles efficiently
• Turn hours and maximize earning potential through performance
• Diagnose, repair, and document vehicle concerns accurately
• Collaborate with service advisors and parts team to ensure smooth workflow
• Utilize Stellantis- and factory-level training to improve repairs
• Mentor or train junior technicians as part of the Apprentice Program

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants MUST meet the following requirements:

• Michigan Mechanic Certification/License and/or ASE Certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience working as a certified automotive technician
• Must have experience working in and be familiar with a flat-rate compensation environment
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to properly diagnose, repair, and document vehicle concerns
• Ability to work effectively with Service Advisors, Parts personnel, and fellow technicians
• Commitment to quality repairs and customer satisfaction

Manufacturer certifications and Stellantis experience are strongly preferred and may qualify you for increased earning potential.
