Job Summary:

The responsibilities of a Service Technician include diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles. Candidates should have an ASE certificate or other technical training. GM experience is preferred but not required. Working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Pay rate varies depending on skill level and experience. Additional training will be provided with company financial assistance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and according to dealership standards
• Test drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional needed services
• Provide estimates for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty according to manufacturer specifications

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
• Fast learner, eager, and a team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
