Job summary

Ed Morse Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join our team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicle systems in a fast-paced dealership environment and ensure repairs meet factory standards.

You should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience, ASE certification, and a valid driver’s license. We value teamwork, customer service, and a commitment to ongoing training to stay current with new technology.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of automotive repair experience.
• ASE Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Team oriented with strong customer service.
• Willing to undergo background, DMV and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems per dealership standards.
• Provide labor and time estimates for repairs.
• Explain repairs to service advisors and customers in plain language.
• Stay current with automotive technology through ongoing training.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings.
• Perform maintenance and repairs efficiently as directed.

Automotive Service Technician

We are currently seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join our Ed Morse team.

Responsibilities

• As a Technician you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver.
• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
  
• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• ASE Certified
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
• Must be willing to submit to a background check,DMV screen, and drug screen
