Job summary

Serra Chevrolet Cadillac of Clarksville is seeking an Experienced Service Technician to join our high-performing team in Clarksville, TN. This role focuses on diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle systems while providing excellent customer service and working closely with the Service Advisor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service ability.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and work specified on the repair order with efficiency and according to dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional service needs and provide time estimates for repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain training standards as required.

Responsibilities:

• Performing work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc
• Communicating directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
