Job summary

Richard Chevrolet, Inc. in Cheshire, CT, is seeking an experienced automotive technician at the B/C level to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, from classics to hybrids, using the latest diagnostic equipment and skilled teamwork.

You will provide accurate repair estimates, communicate clearly with customers, and stay current with evolving automotive technologies through ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an automotive technician training program or equivalent experience.
• ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests to identify problems with engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and other automotive components.
• Repair or replace faulty parts, such as alternators, fuel pumps, and catalytic converters.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Provide accurate estimates of repair costs and time needed for repairs.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to explain repairs and answer questions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.

As a Master of the Road, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles, from classic cars to cutting-edge hybrids. You will work with the latest diagnostic equipment and tools, and collaborate with a team of knowledgeable and passionate professionals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an automotive technician training program or equivalent experience
• ASE certification preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience as an automotive technician. B and C Techs encouraged to apply!
• Strong mechanical and technical skills, including proficiency with diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and customer service skills.
• Passion for cars and a commitment to excellence.
