Job summary

Baltimore County Public Schools is seeking a teacher for an Auto Service program, responsible for delivering ASE/NATEF-aligned coursework and leading students toward industry certification.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, Maryland educator certification, and the ability to meet after-school and evening commitments. Compensation follows the TABCO 10-month pay scale with extensive BCPS benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Maryland Educator Certificate appropriate to the area of assignment.
• Maryland Educator License or eligibility for the area of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and program management for ASE/NATEF Automotive Service Technology courses in engine performance, suspension/steering, brakes, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a safe, orderly learning environment and enforce safety rules.
• Manage shop accounts and procedures essential to operation of the program.
• Instruct in teamwork, communication, problem solving, and hands-on technical skills.
• Collaborate with staff and post-secondary institutions to develop Tech Prep career pathways.
