Job summary

Vachon Chevrolet INC GMC in Mansfield, MA is seeking a Service Advisor to support the Service and Parts Managers and ensure smooth operation of the Service Department. You will oversee daily service activities, manage service staff, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; automotive-related education preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in automotive, hospitality or service.
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and dealership environment.
• Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and service management software, preferably Reynolds and Reynolds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the service department.
• Greet customers promptly and courteously, assessing service needs and concerns.
• Explain recommended services and costs clearly and accurately.
• Schedule service appointments and coordinate with technicians for timely completion.
• Prepare service orders and maintain records of customer interactions and vehicle history.
• Follow up with customers post-service to confirm satisfaction and address questions.
• Manage parts ordering and inventory communication to support repairs.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and maintain positive relationships.
• Promote additional services and maintenance plans to benefit customer and business.
• Contribute to training and development of service staff and ensure safety standards.
