Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking an experienced store operations supervisor to oversee day-to-day activities, supervise staff, and ensure high standards of service and efficiency. You will coordinate vehicle inspections, service programs, and parts procurement while maintaining strict safety and policy adherence.

The role requires 1 year in automotive service, a valid driver’s license, and strong customer service and cash handling skills.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in automotive service environment.
• Completion of a two-year college, technical program, or 1–3 years of service industry experience with at least 1 year supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Basic math skills to calculate commissions and discounts.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to handle difficult customer situations.
• Comfort with up-selling techniques.
• Strong cash handling skills and POS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain direction, coordination, and evaluation of reports in compliance with policies and safety codes.
• Direct, instruct, and manage team members, including supervising and appraising work.
• Oversee store productivity, profitability, environment, and compliance based on reports and feedback.
• Train and coach associates on Gas 3, vehicle inspections, and store systems.
• Recruit and interview talent to ensure efficiency and service levels.
• Monitor shop productivity and safety; authorize work and manage vehicle-related tasks.
• Ensure customer service standards and satisfaction programs; resolve complaints.
